Newlyweds Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo buy $2.8m family home

Nick Lachey put his bachelor pad on the market three months ago and now the singer is ready to set up a marital home with Vanessa Minnillo.
The former 98 Degrees frontman, who starred in MTV reality series Newyweds with his now ex wife Jessica Simpson, has purchased a $2.85 million dream home with his new bride.
The couple's new home is in the Encino, California area of the San Fernando Valley.

The 8,000 square-foot Spanish-style love nest with vaulted beam ceilings, numerous fireplaces, a gorgeous kitchen, huge balconies and a pool.

It has more than enough room to house the children the couple intend to have.
'We definitely want to do together and do it sooner rather than later,' the 37-year-old singer told People magazine earlier this year.

'I'll be 38 this year, so it's one of those things that I'm certainly behind the eight-ball on,' he added recently.
'Not that getting married was the means to an end to have kids, but it certainly was the next step in the process that leads us to ultimately having a great family together.'
Until that day comes though, the two are just enjoying their time together as man and wife without the pitter patter of little feet.

They were married earlier this summer on Richard Branson's Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands in front of 35 close friends and family members.
Their honeymoon involved riding around on a private yacht in St. Barts - not too shabby.
It was 30-year-old Minnillo's first marriage and the second for Lachey, who is divorced from Jessica Simpson.
She, too, is engaged to former NFL player Eric Johnson; the two have set a secret wedding date.
